Abstract

Like many utopian books, Lisbon in the year 3000 is a criticism of the way of human existence, politics, and national life. The main character falls asleep and dreams about the future, in 3000 to the pinnacle of civilization. He manages to describe the world he sees upfront in detail in his sleep. The plot gets dramatic when he finds the library's universal building and books and letters presented there.
