Abstract

A dystopian 19th-century novel where the plot is set after the aftermath of unspecified catastrophic events, which depopulated England. The narrative is divided into two parts, part one describes the world without humans, the forest and wildlife covering most of the planet, and part two moves into an adventurous story of a few survivors, focusing on the main character, Felix, and his journey across a massive lake, in the wilds of New England.
