Abstract
This illustration depicts the Statue of Luís de Camões, located in the Praça de Luís de Camões. In front of the statue there are three people: one man who appears to be from a high social class, and a couple who seems to belong to the working class. The working woman carries a basket on her head, while the man holds a barrel over his shoulders.
