The threshold of old Lisbon

Abstract

This image depicts one of Lisbon old streets. It is entirely composed of stairs that go up until the end of the street. Several people are seen going up and down the street. There is a man in the beginning of the stairs who appears to be selling something with his cart, a woman looking at him and a woman looking at the camera. On the left side of the picture, one can perceive the street name "Rua de S. Paulo", hinting to the location of this street.
