thing.descriptionRichard Powers was born in Illinois, U.S.A, in 1957. He is a writer, most known for his works that explore the effects of science and technology in the world. He initially enrolled at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a degree in Physics, but later changed to English Literature, having then pursued a Master’s degree in Literature. Powers won the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction in 2019, for his novel The Overstory.
